For rinsing and disinfecting, we recommend a time of 5 to 10 minutes.
To ensure broad-spectrum disinfection, allow the instruments to soak for at least 5 minutes.
You can easily do this between treatments—for example, while checking out a client, your tools are disinfected in just a few minutes.
Tools and instruments that have come into contact with blood, wound fluid, or other bodily fluids must be scrubbed under running water and then soaked in the glass jar for at least 10 to 30 minutes.
How often should I change the Barbicide solution?
For effective use, all Barbicide concentrate in the glass jars should be changed daily.
In the case of any contamination (e.g., by blood), Barbicide concentrate must be replaced.
You must also replace Barbicide concentrate if the mixing ratio is incorrect, and then prepare a new solution according to the instructions. This ensures the proper effectiveness of the Barbicide concentrate.

What is the difference between cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing?
Cleaning: Visible dirt is removed from, for example, a counter or workstation using a cleaning product like Barbicide Hygienic Cleaning Spray or Ship-Shape.
Disinfection: The inactivation, killing, or removal of bacteria, fungi, germs, viruses, or other pathogens that can cause infection. Using Barbicide helps prevent instruments, tools, and, for example, washbasins from becoming carriers of bacterial or fungal (yeast) contamination.
Sterilizing: The killing of all microbial life. This can be done, for example, by treating instruments for a certain time under high pressure and high temperature. This requires special equipment such as an autoclave, which is commonly used in hospitals.
Can I use Ship-Shape on my mirrors and windows?
Ship-Shape can be used to clean nearly all hard surfaces. It removes hairspray from salon chairs, mirrors, tools, and work surfaces. It also cleans combs, brushes, sinks, and much more.
When using it to clean glass or mirrors, it is important to use a microfiber cloth in circular motions for the best result.
Does Barbicide damage my plastic combs, brushes, or metal scissors?
Barbicide concentrate or Barbicide Hygienic Cleaning Spray in spray form is safe for plastics, such as acrylic on tanning beds, and can also be used on toilets, doorknobs, stair railings, phones, keyboards, etc.
This way, you can easily meet the highest standards for a disinfected or clean working environment.
How do I disinfect my clipper?
Attention: If contaminated with blood, the clipper blade must first be cleaned with Clippercide, then disinfected with Barbicide concentrate, and finally lubricated again with Clippercide.
